Tamio was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in California. He knew he would call Hawaii home after being stationed at Pearl Harbor with the Navy. As part of his extensive real estate career, he established the successful Prudential Iwado Realty on Maui which managed over 1 million square feet of commercial and residential real estate. Through his 40+ years of business on Maui and Oahu, he has formed solid relationships with recognized and well-known businesses. At the forefront of his future plans is to be a part of affordable housing and the preservation of Hawaiian culture.
